How to quit without burning a bridge - with upcoming vacation?

Hi Blind, Making the jump to MSFT after interviewing and finally squaring away all the background check stuff. Not sure how to quit my current job though. I've got vacation planned for the week after next week. I expect to get walked out since I'm going to a "competitor", but not sure how/when to actually quit. I'm planning to write transition docs for when I get walked out so I don't leave my team hanging. I am trying to start right after my vacation, but that would mean my last possible day would be next Friday. How do you think I should handle this? Don't want to burn a bridge, but I can't just not get paid for 2 weeks and pay my bills. TC: 110->220 YoE: 5-10 #engineer #resignation

You still get paid for unused vacation. Just leave. People always worry about burning bridges and usually overthink it. In 5 years your manager isn’t going to think about that time you stayed an extra week.
