I joined coinbase app last year and got like $10 in btc. The website does not have any tax related form generated, it just has bunch of csv files which are mostly empty because I didn't sell anything. I read that you need to have $600 of gains/transactions as reporting threshold. How do I report those 10 damn dollas? I'm using sprintax btw cause still on F1-opt.
Add 10$ to your income.
Normally you report other income. But $10, on F1, I wouldn't bother.
Did you sell that BTC? If not, there is nothing to report, AFAIK.
You're wrong. Technically, the $10 counts as income and the gains after the sale are cap gains. Just like your RSU.
Under what law? BTC isnt even a security.
😂😂😂 the American dream
You can report it as other income
