Hi all! Just wanted your take on how I should go about syncing up my offers from 3 companies. Currently work @ Google and will receive an offer for an internal transfer around this upcoming Tuesday (December 10th). Will receive an offer from a startup this upcoming Tuesday as well. Twitter just reached out and says they're considering me for roles internally (no screening or interviews done yet). I know Twitter could expedite it but I don't think they could get everything done in two days. How should I go about the other two offers if I want to know what twitter would offer me? How long typically can I stall the other offers? I replied to Twitter right away and said I had an offer incoming this upcoming Tuesday, and I'm not sure what to do with the other two offers. Thanks for reading!
Why worry now. You may not be able to get offer from twtr
If they're interested, I feel they could make an offer by the following week if they can schedule interviews during the week. But it's also a risk since just starting the process.
It's good that you let Twitter know about upcoming offers - communication is key but do so in a way that doesn't seem like you're playing with them. Once your offers come in on Tuesday, ask for time to think about making your next move and they may be able to push out till the end of the week. Usually companies don't like to be kept waiting after extending their offer. Above all, congratulations! You may be able to have the upcoming two offers counteroffer within reason: title and level help provide the range.
