Real estate is simple supply and demand. The supply into the bay is basically fixed. Ipos mean liquidity for thousands of people even if all the prices fall in half there will be significantly more money available with folks looking to diversify and invest. How much is impossible to determine but the chance that billions of new dollars will be created and none will be diversified or spent is 0.

I think he is just saying: more money, = more demand at fixed supply. So Bay Area housing prices will rise. Buy now before the 6 month lock is up!

In a good way? I could kind of see the rest of the IPOs going more conservative than Uber? Wouldn’t that tend to drive prices down?
I’d believe that a good amount of people after lockout have enough downpayment to now buy a house...unless markets tank. Uber, Lyft, PINs, stripe, Zoom, etc.
