FB, Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft Netflix, Snap, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn Dropbox, Robinhood, Uber, Lyft, DoorDash Stripe, Coinbase, Roblox, Nvidia, Paypal, Square, Salesforce, Adobe, Peloton, Workday I chose the above 25 companies arbitrarily based on what I felt was a good representation of companies that are both desired and mainstream. This is not a competition, but rather for educational purposes. I feel like some other lists are quite random in terms of company selection. My personal ranking would probably look something like: 1 FB, Google, Netflix, Snap, Twitter, 2 Pins, Stripe, LinkedIn, Dbx, Robinhood 3 Apple, Lyft, Square, Roblox, Palantir, 4 Uber, Coin, Peloton, Workday, Dash 5 PayPal, Adobe, Msft, Salesforce, Amzn
Google, FB, LinkedIn, Snap, Netflix, Apple, Dropbox, Stripe, Uber, DoorDash, Microsoft, Coinbase, Roblox, Square, Lyft, Palantir, Robinhood, Salesforce, Twitter, PayPal, Etsy, Peloton, Amazon
Google, FB, LinkedIn, Snap, Netflix, Apple, Dropbox, Stripe, Uber, DoorDash, Microsoft, Coinbase, Roblox, Square, Lyft, Palantir, Robinhood, Salesforce, Twitter, PayPal, Etsy, Peloton, Amazon
Agreed with this except Snap would be close to bottom for me
Top 5: F, G, Snap, Netflix, Pinterest Bottom 5: Microsoft, Salesforce, PayPal, Etsy, Peloton

Tough question. Amazon has horrible culture but by far offers some of the best products literally across every industry. Sure, Google has amazing culture and you can rest and vest.. But the chances of you landing on a team with a truly impactful project seems very unlikely. Just my response to seeing everyone list G first and Amazon last. Regardless this question is kind of dumb because the answer I always... It depends on the team. It literally always depends... On your team and manager. Most importantly it depends on whether or not you're optimizing for TC or for learning. The simple answer will always be... optimize for TC because when you're given an offer the only thing that is guaranteed is how much they will pay you. It's not guaranteed that you'll have a good experience on whatever team you get put on.
So are you interested in how we like the product or whether we think there’s good engineering talent? My SWE list: FB, Snap, Pinterest, Google, Netflix, Stripe, Roblox, Twitter, Lyft, Square, Dropbox, Coinbase, Robinhood, Uber, LinkedIn, Apple, DoorDash, Microsoft, Salesforce, Amazon, Nvidia, Etsy, PayPal, Workday I don’t know how this list helps anyone, it doesn’t translate well into where you should work b/c that’s personal. I also think Google should be much lower on the list, but I’m biased obviously.
Talk shit about amazon, but when it comes to good products, we run the tables and continue to innovate
Read my comment above :)
You forgot Nvidia from your initial list and added Uber twice? I'm not sure if it's just me but Workday doesn't really strike me as a mainstream/desirable company.
Dude, make it a poll 🙄
lmao
