From high to low hiring bar this is my list... Google, Dropbox, Netflix, Snap, FB, Pinterest, Airbnb, LinkedIn, Lyft, Uber, Apple, Amazon Agree?
Wow
Depends on the interviewer
I’d say it depends greatly on the teams for companies without standardized hiring loops. G and F are the hardest followed by everyone else. LI and Twtr systems eng teams are also right up there with G and F. Same for AWS core services. Similarly, at VMware, try clearing the bar for VSAN data path teams.
Fb is easy man
Got G and S offer, rejected by Airbnb and Amazon after phone screening, didn't even get an interview from the rest of the list. You tell me.
Did you shit talk during the phone screening interview?
No. It's just them asking things I'm not familiar with. Seems that they are looking for people that can do their stuff on day 1
Interview difficulty doesn't always correlate to the hiring bar. A company can ask difficult interview question and have a low hiring bar or vise versa. I was asked a hard question during my Microsoft interview. The interviewer made up a weird data structure that's like an inverted tree and I had to use hashmap to keep some states and bfs on the tree along with some binary search. I didn't finish the code and rushed through some psudeo functions but still got the offer. The question was hard but the bar was low.
Changed the question. Great point
F - G - U - AM I’ve been in these four. So I’m basing this on the competence of the people that got in 😄 Interview wise G - AM - F - U Interview experience is personal and varies a lot. So my rating is about the difficulty level of my interviews spanning over about ten years.
Dropbox interviews r so easy nowadays.
G - F/Pins - Netflix - LinkedIn
