There were few acquisitions this year. Does the employees think it’s a smart move?
Vmware is an all indian company. Poor diversity. I interviewed with them, all were indians. My friend at vmware says they hv lot of internal politics.
Theres absolutely no diversity
For all those who are complaining about diversity in Bay Area, while I have apathy for your genuine thought, which other company has diversity here? Almost all companies are same! 🤐😐
Companies only want to look good on the outside
I don’t like it because they haven’t been investing in employees. It’s focus is on shareholder ..who is Michael Dell. I doubt company is going to last another 10 years.
They are doing poor with acquisition. I was hired for team which was part of vmware after acqusition ( within 1st month of acquisition ingot the offer) its from wavefront. Then i was about to join they fired my future HM. So i didnt join. Bdw SMTS package has been low now amd they have not upgraded that yet. Atlassian for sure i got better pay. More than SMTS at vmware for sure.
Vmware is working very closely in house with Dell product BUs.. mainly to capture the hybrid cloud market. And Dell has its Dell tech cloud with vmware as the layer on top of all their products.
There is no such hybrid cloud its all made up. Only public cloud will survive with extra security needed for enterprises.
Public cloud will capture most of the market but not everyone will be 100% public cloud. There will always be data that customers want control over. Especially financial data example.
Nutanix is killing VMware
Really? How? I thought it was the other way round
Joke of the day :)
