Basically, we were two founders, plus worked with a few freelances. Got the product to MVP release, but don't have the financial resources to continue anymore. I have 8 yoe of experience working for others, then 4 years working on my startup. I came up with the architecture and worked on backend and software. Had to wear lots of hats while working on different areas and coordinating work with freelancers. Wondering should I be applying for Principal, or Staff level roles with my experience? companies I'm considering: Netflix, Roblox, LinkedIn, Meta, AirBnb and Dropbox. Yes, PE are expected to contribute with a large scope complexity, and navigate complex organization structures. So demonstrating this or having stories that indicate to this will go a long way.
