At Amazon we have a constant battle where 100% of employees feel underpaid/incorrectly paid based on external offers vs. tenured salaries in the same role. Do Google, meta, Microsoft, apple also feel the same or do you have better comp policies and lesser complaints given the refresher policies TC: 255
99% of people in any company will feel they are underpaid 🤣
Trust me! It’s the same 😂
You are most likely underpaid at your current company. Don’t stay longer than you should.
It's the same every where. Been Microsoft/meta and now Apple it's all the same story even at Google based on friends/family who work there although have to admit it's worst at Microsoft. So folks will always complain but best thing to do is jump companies on and off if you feel you are not compensated well. (My opinion - don't join Microsoft and avoid 🍌 pip) you will be fine every where else.
Maybe stop worrying about how much you’re getting paid and find a company that values you where you enjoy the work.
Very true at Microsoft
My comp at Meta is still great - wlb is good. TC 450k, with the stock drop.
Can you help me with some insights on how to select the best team during the Bootcamp phase
Sure, external hires always make more, but at Amazon you fall off the cliff and you're making $200k while new hires are making $350k. It's not such a big deal when it was $220k compared to $240k.
Agree with op with company which values you although as soon as reorg hits you have to start from 0. So you have been advised which companies to avoid rest all depends on what your priorities are ....
Every single company wide meeting the highest voted questions are comp related so... Pretty sure it's the same everywhere lol
nice to hear we aren’t alone. Inflation related questions are frequent lately
How long has that been going on? I joined recently
