Depends on the team
Seems like a good place for a brand new college grad. You can pick up the basics in patterns and then bounce after a year or two.
+1. Having really great design managers that stick around is uncommon. Most ECP (early career professionals) also bounce after a year or two.
Designers are all young kid without prior experience.
A college frat club.
If you get to do patterns there are a ton of opportunities. Get in to the center of the design org. Most are in Austin. Other than that, it really varies by team
The culture is local to a team, Design Manager. I work with the greatest 8 ppl I’ve ever worked with. How so? They’re all positive people. We have psychological safety in our group. Not every team is like that. There’s just dysfunctional people unevenly distributed anywhere. You work through them - staying positive. So, the culture you experience is really up to you. Whether you’re at IBM or not. Ya know?
not that good. why?
