Just want to get some insights on how you guys like working at these companies :D Zillow, OpenTable, Redfin Current TC: 140K YOE: 2.5 In SF
Startups to multi-nationals.
How long have you been at OT?
Zillow is pretty great.
How long have you been there?
I have been at Zillow longer than 2 years and really enjoy working there.
Which team are you on? If you don’t mind me asking...
Which team / org are you looking at?
I work in the SF office.
What’s your projects like? Backend? Is it interesting?
I like the work, enjoy the people, WLB and freedom to make an impact across any org
It’s not a big place, I would rather not say.
Are you guys hiring L4’s at the moment?
If u want to learn new tech and want to be competitive, don't come. Zillow is great for lip services and fucking PMs.
Who’s been fucking PMs?! Lol wtf
Engineering at OT is fun too, but promotes people only with loads of experience. Due to the recent Kayak merger with OT many people are leaving so it's shaking down a bit but execs are trying to stay strong. Data Science team though has broken down on multiple occasions and always hiring. Overall a good work life balance, no work on the weekends, good competitive pay. Only complaint about pay is perks at OT sucks big time but it might improve someday
Hmm how are the interviews? I’ve already done ten onsites... is it the typical kind?
What are your perks at OT? Hows the healthcare?
OT is fun. It has less bullshit than other places I’ve worked.
Where have you worked before? I’m looking for a breath of fresh air.
I don’t work in engineering, but I can’t say enough about the culture and direction of the company. Great people, progressive thinking CEO, great pay
