If this is accurate, pretty solid.
It is accurate, can confirm that this is from the internal wiki
I can see companies adding their severance policies as a way to attract people in the future. Netflix is way ahead in this game.
It’s accurate. This seems to be from our internal email. HubSpot is awesome.
I’m impressed they have a generous severance. I am saddened that the layoffs are so contagious in tech.
True, very sad. But at least they had the decency to offer a solid package for laid off.
Wow, this is wholesome. Hubspot keep it up, layoff is horrible but this gesture goes a long way. Kudos to you leadership
Kudos to the people who put us in this position?
Who doesn’t want to get laid off with such packages!?
People who don’t want to be job hunting with 200-300k people competing for the open roles in their industry.
H1Bs…
Do they generally let you keep the laptops and monitors after layoff?
Most companies do not. Salesforce for example will withhold severance if you don’t ship devices back. Not that you want the lump of junk when they lock it. It won’t even boot once you hit that window so why keep it and forfeit the severance (which will be way more than the price of a laptop after taxes)
My spouse was given the option to keep his Mac when he was laid off. He had to pay tax on the imputed value.
this is amazing wow
This seems quite decent
Western Digital, may I DM?
Way more humane than Google layoffs
What? Google did the same 5 months except they included stock vesting, didn’t cap it at 7 months, and gave 2 weeks for every year of service instead of 1. This Blind counterculture of hating everything Google is ridiculous
Fair, but no one found out they were laid off because their access got cut off in the middle of the night...
Nice that’s super generous
