Hey I was given the take home test for the Algo Web Engineer role at Hudson River trading. It seems like basically a web dev type role to make frontends for the other engineers. Should I expect anything near the salaries those devs get? Is this a good way to get my foot in the door for HFT? And how hard is this coding test going to be? TC 80k 1yoe #hudsonrivertrading

Saw a posting on LinkedIn and applied. I don’t understand my interviewing luck atm I’m having trouble getting past resume screen at 90% of companies but I’ve also gotten to team matching at Google before the freeze. I don’t think this role is anything super crazy at HRT it sounds like basically a webdev role
Webdev roles at Hudson pay worse than FAANG, but better than Ford.
Everywhere pays better than this shitty company 💀

Currently waiting to hear back from hiring manager to see if he’ll agree to remote (recruiter says it’s possible). I won’t be moving forward if he says no.
