Really sorry for your loss Did you have travel insurance? Check the credit card you used to book the trip and call them up as well. Not sure apart from that.
Sorry for your loss. For your question, first of all, who signed the financial responsibility paper?

Thank you, please send me lawyer contact ..
AFAIK , There was no lawyer involved. He simply refused to pay that amount. I think he did negotiate it down to something like $150k and put it up on installments. Lemme get back to you in sometime.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost mine last year and it is still difficult to deal with it. In any case, did you sign any document taking financial responsibility for the medical charges?
Wow man I'm really sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss. Did your mom have travellers insurance?
I am sorry for your loss. Tell them you will pay 20k cash today or they have to have a lawyer fighting for the case in court.
We have insurance but it won't cover more than 50k...
Extremely sorry for your loss. If you have insurance, they will have a price for the treatment. Let them negotiate. If you did not pay for the insurance, they cannot come to you. If you paid for their insurance too, you could say that's all you could afford. Find a social worker at the hospital or elsewhere to help you out. Sorry again.
Standard practice for some insurers to automatically deny claims above a certain threshold. This will take phone calls, possibly attorneys, to make them pay out benefits that were agreed upon at the time the policy was put in force. Do not give up. This is a lot of money. Hint: they will try to get you to “disqualify” the claim by stating you didn’t get preauthorization, etc. but for emergencies and especially if the insured was incapacitated at the time of admission, this can be circumvented.
No insurance ? Sorry for ur loss. Take care of urself.
Sorry for your loss.. :(
