Lots of Michelin starred restaurants in Bay Area. Are they worth it? Anyone tried them? https://blog.opentable.com/california-michelin-stars-2021/
If you view food as an experience and you don't care how much it costs to get the best experience, then restaurants with Michelin stars are definitely worth it.
Hmm, I have been to few Indian Michelin star restaurants. The food was good, the experience was ordinary, sure the place looked good, but other than that nothing exceptional except the check
Try Madcap in Sab Anselmo. Bit of a drive from the Bay Area but soo damn worth it!!!
are they on doordash?
Try Eric Ripert restaurants
Omakase is worth it
Mourad in SF is truly a fabulous experience. Worth it.
+1 on this!!
Manresa - worth it French Laundry - not worth it
It depends on what you’re looking for. Taste is subjective, and there’s probably no restaurant where every dish will blow your mind. If you’re willing to pay for art, and go for the novelty of the experience, you might find it fun. Obviously, food isn’t worth as much as the three star places charge. But it can be a nice change of pace if that’s your thing.
The 3 star places actually run on a pretty slim profit margin. So yes if you are talking about ingredient cost it’s not that expensive, but the time that goes into preparing each dish is immense.
Given how particular they are on each ingredient, it seems the material cost must be quite high
Went to benu and manresa. Benu is more worth it but both are worth it.
Went to vikas khannas in nyc Not worth it
