Quitting this Slave life
Hi all! I work at a web agency - aka we make websites. As days passed by, I realized that I start off as a product manager ie; - Involved in client calls - User journeys, personas, competitive set discussion, user experience, product requirements gathering, pain points analysis, etc Then I move on to be a project manager ie; - project timeline - project budget - resource allocation - sprint plannings My question to the community here is that, are you familiar with such a situation? What should be my actual job title? I am looking to move into a bigger tech company, but for now, please help me clear some awkward doubts in my mind. Thank you so much! #projectmanager #productmanager
I am both at google and trust me it’s damn good combination. Valued tremendously in my org. Two skills better than one always. Curious are you a Bond girl.
You made my day in this gloomy weather! Please share what is the job title of this kind of responsibility if you can :-) One of my career goals is to be a part of a bigger company's culture, so thank you for responding. Not a Bond girl, but a new girl on the Blind block for sure :-)
Dm me & be glad to help
Looking to add the "T" for sure.. exploring different areas of interest.. thank you for responding!
Maybe senior product or UX designer. Lead at some companies if you have been doing this for an extended period of time. I don’t think that anything that you described other than project budget and resource allocation falls outside of the bounds of what would be expected from a senior or lead designer.
Interesting.. thank you for responding! I have been doing this for over 6 months now 🙂
OP, I am at a web agency/technology consulting company myself and the Product Manager role is really a business analyst or Product Consultant most of the time. There's no end-to-end ownership of products you help design and build and rarely a chance to use data iteratively to improve product success as you are working for/with your client counterparts, although, this depends A LOT on the type of project and client you're on. I'm curious, what's your YOE and what's your experience been like.
No
:-( thx though!
