I am seeing some room for growth but I don't see the money.

I've been working as a Front End Developer at Broadridge for a year now. I like the work that I'm doing with the UI/UX aspect of the projects, and I'm looking forward to continuing learning more and to contribute more value to the projects and my team. In my meetings with my manager, she has expressed that there are opportunities for me to learn and grow, as an IC or Manager. BUT, there's a few things that concern me here; first, my base salary at $61K in New York (currently, working on a raise with my manager) and the second, the projects I'm working on barely use any of the latest front-end technologies, so I've been trying to keep up with by dedicating 1-2 hours of learning daily. I am seeing some room for growth but I don't see the money. Should I focus on getting a little more experience and wait on manager's update regarding the raise, or just apply to new roles with my level of experience and knowledge or Leetcode for 3-4 months and jump ship? Thanks for your input!

I am in the same boat as you are, I have been here a year and I make shit compared to my peers in other companies. I am actively looking for other positions, and I suggest you do the same. I don't know what you work on and what you think you are gaining in experience but I can safely assume you can make more money and get better experience in other places. From what I have seen, this place would much rather just hire people India then pay anyone here a decent salary.
