PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
Anyone else feel this way here? Or is everyone om this app just chasing money? I just want a job that pays over 150-160 and I'm happy 😊
I have pretty simple needs but shit is expensive near places where I can get a job that interests me.
I agree with the OP but I'm also not going to turn down a better offer. The more money I make, the sooner I can retire. 150k+ is enough money to be happy. If you're making 150+ and not happy, more money isn't going to fix that.
Agreed! Of course more is better but I feel like there's better things to put my time towards
Maybe as a single individual, but when you want to raise a family and pay for vacations while also enjoying your hobby, $200k-$250k is more realistic, especially if we are talking gross not net. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the pursuit of growth if that is what brings you happiness! I also have a massive desire to be able to cut my working hours while my kids are young (I’m about 2 years out), so I am grinding now to try and prepare for that lifestyle switch.
I am chasing money but I also understand not everyone wants it and that's totally fine. We don't all have to chase the same thing.
What are your motivations behind chasing money? Do you feel like you need it, or do you want the nice things that come with it? Or do you want it for the status, women, etx?
I’m the exact same way. Remote work, over six figures and excellent WLB is all I need. TC: 105K
Amen
My anxiety will be same if its 150k or 300k. Id rather grind and not work at all instead of working a bit.
Also whats your nw
I am literally at $162k and I agree that being rich is overrated, but being financially secure is not. I want to earn enough to afford my future children the lifestyle I grew up with, what about you?
That's a good point, I guess for me I feel like around 160 is enough for that. Obviously more money is useful, but for me putting time towards things like building a strong community, good relationships, healthy activities is more important
If you don’t mind me asking, do you have kids or want to have kids someday?
