What if what blind said on Amazon working culture isn't true and engineers are having great time working there?
What blind said isn’t always true. I am lucky to be in a great team and learned a lot. Feel great to start my career here. But even in a great team, the oncall stuffs are so exhausting. Personally, I plan to jump the boat by the next year.
you are in Tokyo office?
And that is your experience being a great team. Imagine being in a shit team with constant politics and PIP sword hanging over your head. A team with manager change almost every quarter. There are many such teams like this, including mine.
Don’t touch the fire 🔥
I can’t say what it’s like on the inside- but the interviewers are really mean
ha really? what they say
@vRUDS58 - lolol
A lot of teams are decent to work for day to day, but still there are a lot of shitty things about Amazon’s culture as a whole that permeates throughout the company
Take it with a grain of salt. Ppl in good teams don’t constantly shit post about their experience at Amazon on Blind
I make a lot of money, im young, i get to work on tier-1 services, team and manager are great. oncall is chill. let the people on blind whine 🤣
Just curious, how could oncall of tier-1 service be chill?
our OE is great. it used to be terrible but we patched up all the autocut risks
But you also read news, right?
Don't believe everything that blind tells you. Also don't believe if someone says Amazon's work culture is the best.
Not the best but I really like it so far. Greenfield project, learning a ton, and usually work 9-5/6
