I feel like I’m wasting my life in USA.
Does anyone feel the same ? Chasing behind H1 / Greencard, TC rat race, shallow friendships, show off travel pics on social media. I feel like we aren’t doing anything here except paying monthly bills. It’s just my openion. Just think when we are on death bed does all these things we are doing here to keep the race matter at all ?

I think you just need to meet more friends here. Pretty boring after a while if you're only working here.
This is a good suggestion but I don't know something happened to me, I don't want to make new friends or keep in touch with existing friends. I been ignoring everyone. Sometimes I get worried I will live a lonely life. I probably will go to therapy after done with FAANG interviews.
A lot of fake people in Silicon Valley. Maybe too many of the wrong friends.
I feel you man. But on the bright side, you do make a lot more money than SWE in other countries. So it depends on what your goals are.

USA is the shallow blonde b** that everyone chases because she comes from a rich family and the papers brag about her. When you finally get a date with her you realize shes not that all special and that the girl next door was actually just as good if not better. The more people realize the US is not special and just ez money the better
it is any different in your country? If you are from india, all these factors are much worse, esp in IT towns, Banglore, pune, mumbai... Impossible EMi, catastrophic weather and pollution..and social shallow.. Throwin ugly politico scene... Waiting for h1,gc is still better brt
Capitalism is a prison that binds us all. The only things you will remember on your deathbed are your family, your friends, and whether or not you paid them enough attention.
Capitalism in right light gave tremendous life advantages too...everything can be transient and overrated...including family and friends... Self enriched soul and personal development can help you fend of depression..having many concentric circles is helpful too.
How long do you want to waste your life this way? And why?
Depends - What would you do elsewhere? Why do you need to chase H1? Work here for as long as you can, head to another country (home?) and work again. Less expectations = more happiness
