I was laid off back in 2022 from Amazon and haven’t had a job since. After years of applying I finally have an interview with Nvidia for a senior Frontend engineering role in the ml and ai divisions. I am just wondering how should i prep considering the fact that it is a front end role not full stack or backend. Is leetcode top 50/100 tagged Nvidia questions good enough? Any help is appreciated. I am unemployed and tc is 0. Yoe is 3-4. Should I be concerned of Nvidia hiring a lot of SWEs lately cause of the spike in ai? #tech #nvidia #swe #interview
Are you a 2nd generation immigrant?
Good luck OP 👍🏽 crush it
Might just be a good idea to think about the current popular ML apis and think about how you would leverage them in an application.
So it’s not leetcode style?
Stock is crashing so at least you’ll benefit and get lots more stocks
Congrats OP. Nothing but good wishes and prayers for your interviews. Can I ask how have you have been managing financially since the layoffs ?
Trying to alleviate the curse I’ve had for the past 2 years
Is it really that bad of a job market? I would definitely get your resume looked at. I have 3 YOE and have been getting interviews left and right. Anyway good luck for your interview
That’s my resume that got me an interview with Nvidia feel free to take a look
This is crazy you were able to get an interview with Nvidia with this. But congratulations.
Bigfrontend.dev is a great resource. Also watch YouTube videos on front end systems design. Also study backend systems design. Understand your framework (react, angular, vue, etc) inside and out. Talk through the concepts that differentiate your selected framework. Be able to build up components without googling. Understand the diff between unidirectional vs bidirectional data flow in the framework. Understand state and how it works. Understand typescript deeply. And last but not least I’ve found success when I state my opinions and defend them. Many times on the front end there are many ways to do the same thing. Having an opinionated engineer is great because it shows they understand their own process. That’s someone that can be self sufficient. Also understand how to integrate with apis and display data. Work on simple tasks like build a loading bar. Good luck
I had an interview for a similar position. Most of the coding stuff is based on FE problems, thought it was straightforward but they’re interviewing tons of people for each of those roles so even if you do well, there’s a chance they’ll take 2 months to get back to you. Hopefully that’s not the case, just want to prepare your expectations
I am aware of this. It happened to me on multiple occasions. It’s not something new, but thanks for the advice
I am Piped here don't join it is new Amazon
WHAT ! Nvidia is PIPing employees at this point in company’s history. Unimaginable ! Why you think this is happening ?
Why won’t any company weed out ineffective employees?

I don’t have anything constructive to add, but I’m wishing you the best of luck and I hope you get the role. Not only that, I hope you grow to be the best FE engineer they’ve ever seen!!
I love my family :)
