So I had uploaded a bunch of my songs (downloaded or ripped from CDs years ago) to Google Play Music years ago, and often go and listen to them from various devices. Because YouTube Music is replacing Google Play Music for good,I had the option to transfer my songs over. I'm fine with all that. But now why on earth am I subjected to ads while listening to my own songs??
Start a strike
The company needs to make money to pay us
I already watch 10000 ads a day on regular YouTube and streaming music from YouTube Music. I'm just pissed that they made me transfer my own music over to YouTube Music and still subjecting me to ads
Ad blocker?
Is it free hosting and streaming of your own music? They gotta lay the bills
youtube music is the worst music app I’ve ever used. At the beginning, I thought their recommendations algorithm was good, but I soon realized that it’s just recommending me basically the same list over and over.
It's the same with YouTube. Awful recommendations after over 7 years of using it regularly from my account.
I use youtube premium: No ads on YT music Youtube play in background Family plan costs per person 3 bucks/6 people
They will take GPM from my cold, dead hands. My hope they will realize what shitshow YTM is and cancel/suspend the shutdown of GPM.
It is way way way too late for that. I know because I'm in the company.
they announced they'll be taking it from your cold hands, i think this year
Why not use a real music streaming service like tidal or qobuz
I already pay for Spotify, I had some albums from way back in the day which are not available on it
Hmm. Tidal claims to have way more tracks than spotify (a LOT of them are re uploaded). You can search for your albums there
Youtube Music is a disgrace
U work at google
I work at Google doesn't mean I get free YouTube Music, also doesn't mean I know the execs at YouTube
do u get an employee discount?
