So I got this job in Europe last year & relocated. The team I work with is really toxic. Racist jokes & all. I want to quit so badly but it’s taking sometime to find a new job. I do have Apple & Amazon phone screens scheduled though. I really can’t stand it here anymore. Should I just quit & keep searching for a new job? Anyone ever been in similar situation? This is actually my first experience with racism & I can’t explain how depressed this makes me feel. Like is this what people go through? This is really shocking! Like wtf! I can easily get another job at a regular company but I really want to get into one of the big 4’s
Op are you Indian ?
No, African
Okay. If you don't have to work to maintain your residency you should leave
Which city, country?
Berlin, Germany
My sympathies. I hope you find a better situation soon.
I doubt any employers will think twice about you leaving an international job before getting your next job. It's really hard to interview when you're in another country. And international experience is great!
What company is that, American? Also, record those racist jokes and talk to hr. File violation.
It’s a German company really popular here
Don't talk to HR, they're gonna fire you and protect the company, HR isn't your friend
Document, sue, move on. The only way the company will address it is if it hurts them
Racist toward Africans? Is the racism directed at you personally? I thought Germany was progressive and forward thinking.
Take em to the cleaners, then head back to the states.
It is normal in Europe. Nothing you can do it about it. Suing would be a waste of time.

If it’s that bad. Record what’s going on. Go and get a huge severance. Then move on.
