It quite literally means nothing. The amount of people a few years ago who were celebrating their 200+K/year in compensation in stock are literally at a 50-75% loss right now. Don't even get me started on the people at SNAP who likely took offers from that company where they give you (quite literally) 80% of your compensation in stock because they thought they'd be paper millionaires very quickly. I bet year after year, they were holding their stocks in hopes of a miraculous recovery, and I bet most of them are going to continue to hold it still. Stop investing in these companies. They don't give a fuck about you. RSUs are a way for you to stay put and work tirelessly for a company while the leader gets all the recognitions and rewards. Meta employees, you're quite literally working 10 hour days to enrich a guy who doesn't even have the requisite social skills to understand another human's body language. LOL. The only reason I'm even working at Amazon right now is because of the cash but I'll leave that once I get enough anyways. I'm completely aware this company doesn't give a fuck about me either. Remember: you can always invest in stock yourself anyways. Granted sometimes it's easy to get a huge amount of stock at a lower entry price, but unless you're a new grad, you'll have enough money to make some nice bets on stocks yourself anyways. Better yet, you can always park your money as well. Ironically enough, given the panic, perhaps now might be a good time to start buying up some stock, but I'm not sure yet. The economy is fucked right now, but let this be a lesson. tc 380
Didn’t read a word, stay mad

Exactly 💯 what's op even talking about, lives in his own perceptions!
Paper money gang rise up

I’m not reading all that Good for you Or sorry it happened
Always gotta be one guy to explain the joke when no one asked.
Correct
TC or GTFO And you were talking like we chose to get RSUs instead of all cash offers...
We chose to take them!
Yup 😊😊😊😊😊
Basically, don’t work for publicly traded companies or private companies. Who else to work for? Equity is an essential component of the comp everywhere.
Work for govt. Get 80k TC lol
Work for a quant hedge fund or HFT firm. Comp is 100% cash and often more than tech too.
It swings both ways. Some win, some lose. Some, like you, don't play the game. No one is wrong.
At Amazon we only lose. No protection against stock downside, and upside is capped due to 15% growth model.
"Amazon | Design" sounds like a you problem bro
Yeah I made $3M last year. Also, snap topped up comp for all employees to target last month. So it’s pretty cool, they covered for the downside as well.
You’re ruining OP’s cope
How 3M?
