It's not all about stock price being high.. Microsoft/Google had layoffs even when they were still profitable by a large margin.. Jensen truly cares about the employees. I will give you two benefits i can think of right now which is unheard of in the industry. 1. For people who joined near nov 2021 which was the peak of nvidia stock arnd 300 and then dipped to around 150. If the employee was promised x amount of rsus at joining, due to stock price crash they were now given 2x rsus over the same period of 4 years.. this is an extreme example. Others who joined just before or after peak price were adjusted accordingly. 2. From past 3 years our focal/annual review has been adjusted to take advantage of lower share price so that employees get more number of stocks.. As an example our focal this year are pulled in by 1 month so that employees get more shares at same cost due to upcoming boom. Nvidia still doesn't offer lavish facilities compared to FAANG but it's the basic care of the employees which has won the heart of employees here..

not to mention that Nvidia focal historically was in October in 2010s, we had one in Oct 2019, then COVID happened, and he pulled 2020 one in June because of the reason above 2021 he pulled the share vest date to April again for same reason
