Been doing it for 2 years now mostly wholesale and now private label starting up. Not particularly interested right now as the comp wouldn’t be worth it but in case business goes south was wondering what my options were
Could easily spin this into a PM narrative or Operations roles if your business has any complexity to it.
Nope and definitely not.
This discussion has come across the forum a few times. A person with successful business wants their success to translate to a corpo backup plan tech job. Is OP managing, extending, maintaining, or even thinking about a software product ? no brand management sounds more fitting
U r better off trying to make it successful vs wasting ur skills at a corporate job.
Not really. If anything, it will make you less appealing as candidate because it will give the HM the impression you won't be able to focus on their job
How did you get started? Have you had corp job before?
No I haven’t, I have a masters in a healthcare field, unrelated. How I got started is a very long story
The only thing that will get you into corporate is passing the Amazon interview process. When I worked there, we turned down PHD’s, CEOs, founders, and owners of hundred million dollar Amazon stores.
What a toxic process they have, too. They are more fixated on adherence to their LPs than finding qualified candidates.
I actually prefer it.
How much are your profits and more importantly profit growth? The 2Mil revenue may seem like a lot to you but corporates are looking at what you have learnt and whether you can make that work in their business and whether you have acquired fundamental skills to apply that in the corporate world.
Will end the year around 350k profit last year was 220
You should try to sell your brand in TikTok shop too
You could maybe get a role on the 3p seller success team, I know a few people there. How did you get wholesale business by the way? I've only been able to sell product for companies where I know someone - how do you move on to more brands?
How much did you invest to get this far? I don't see why you couldn't work at a company if you were qualified.
Idk maybe ~50k? Hard to say most of the money in the business at this point is reinvested profits I haven’t pulled cash out of my personal accounts in a long time lol
