I want to grow my skill set in AI and I would like to learn from this group as where to start from. I have started looking at material from coursera and other forums but need to understand the perspective if experts here. Thanks YOE - 7+ TC- 300k+ #ai
Just curious, but why? ML is useful. But so are a million other algorithms. Most ML is commoditized these days. It’s one thing if you 1)Have deep skills is a particular field and can help develop ML in your vertical. Or 2) are a mathematician and can develop a new ML algorithm. But otherwise why focus on today’s tech de jour?
Jump right in. Take some intro online courses. Start building some models for pet projects. If you can, apply it to your current work. After some time, you will find that AI/ML is very broad. Then start specializing into a section of it (deep learning, computer vision, NLP, interpretability, model deployment)

Stop calling it AI and start calling it ML. Only managers and executives use the word AI to excite non tech folks.
That's not true
ML is a subset of AI you dingdong
