Team, Last week, our Canada Lab executive team got together for a discussion about our expectations for working in the office. We are all on the same page and want to be clear - we require everyone to be in the office 3 days a week. Many of you have returned to the office and experienced the energy and positive experience of being with your teams and colleagues. The lab comes alive when we are together in person - whether it’s for all hands and team meetings, product planning, design thinking sessions, mentoring others, social events, or impromptu conversations that happen when you run into someone in the hallway. There is a spark of innovation and an openness of communication that is different when we are all in a room and not on Webex. We all need to find that connection again that is vital to our lab’s future and to our products. Many of you responded to the survey we sent out. We've read your input and we hear your concerns. 87% of employees said they wanted dedicated seats - but due to operating costs, we can keep our PWAs only if people come into the office. You want more food variety and options - the cafeterias will provide more options when people come in consistently. Some of you have remote team members - we have technology in our conference rooms throughout the lab that allow effective Webex and in-person collaboration. Starting immediately, we expect you to work from your lab site 3 days a week. We understand some of you will need to make arrangements. Please do this as soon as possible. The executive team looks forward to seeing you. Steven Astorino, Alvin Francis, Chris Fredericks #ibm
What’s PWA?
Progressive Web App :^)
Pretty sure this guy meant Personal Work Space.
What a garbage email. F those execs
Awful
Terrible, good on your for putting them on blast!
What a load of crap.
Signals the execs feel the economic winds are shifting in their favor. Tech winter means they can now compel return to office with decreased concerns regarding attrition. Expect more of this nonsense that, nonetheless, will be the end of large scale remote work (that isn’t overseas).
It's basically a 5% voluntary layoff without any severance or reporting requirements.
This, TBH.
Retarded as usual.
