Whats the expected range/breakdown of TC. I have an offer but recruiter has asked me to provide a number. Does the following sound good? Base: 180 RSU: 200/4 Annual Bonus: Whats a typical % for “meets expectation” Does Apple give Signing bonus? What does refreshers look like? Hows the culture, pip-security and WLB in the AI/ML org. Current TC: 160 @Amazon YOE: 8
ICT4 is a very wide band. If you don't have competing offer, probably around the ball park of your existing TC and nothing crazy.
Hmm thats not what I heard.
Do you work at Apple? Can you give me a range?
Can I ping you on what skills they look for ?
Sure
Anyone?
Hi - If they are making an offer, *they want you*. The *worst* that happens if you ask for too much is they say no, and they counter with something. Negotiating 101, ask for more than you want so (hopefully) they negotiate down to what you want. Disclaimer, easier said than done - I barely negotiated because I was happy with the offer. i.e. if you would be happy with base 180 RSU 200, ask for base 200 RSU 300. What's the worst that could happen? Also, for CA employers, I think you can ask them what their range is and they are legally required to tell you. I am an L6 at AWS, ~210 TC. Recently accepted an ICT4 offer at Apple (different role / job family, technical but not software engineer) for roughly 190 base, 250K RSU + 30K signing bonus. No idea whether this is the "right" number / range for you, just sharing as a data point. They told me bonus was 10% or 15% of base for meeting goals, the way it was phrased I didn't think it was negotiable. Just assumed it was standard.
Thanks! This is good idea :)
How about WLB in this group? I’m highly indexing on WLB. At Amazon I am moving to a new team where WLB/manager seems very good.
Hi OP, hope you got the ideal offer. Could I ping you to check the what skill they are looking for and interview process? Thanks.
