What's everyone's thoughts on Faraday Future. They screwed up there launch with the concept when everyone was expecting a real car. But they are aggressively hiring some of the best folks in the industry. They do genuinely have a chance at doing something good by acting like an agile start up. Will they be the next Tesla or just a bust?
They will always be in Tesla's shadow after they decided to follow Tesla in sourcing their company name from famous physicists instead of crafting their own distinctive brand.
Everyone's doing that. Check out the commercial electric truck manufacturer - Nikola. Soon there will be Franklin, WattTheF, etc. Edison's already taken.

I interviewed there a few months back. Weird experience. They're definitely up to something interesting, but between the shady Chinese funding by the CEO of LeEco and the lack of any kind of Tesla supercharger-like network infrastructure it will be a long time before they're able to launch something viable, if ever. I'm guessing their first product will be ridiculously expensive but probably pretty cool.
