I wouldn’t move if it’s the same compensation even though it’s a career progression

At this time where people are losing jobs, it wouldn’t be a good idea to switch if it’s not truly worth it. New employees are highly vulnerable for layoffs if the situation gets worse

I would take it at Abbvie as they are stable and nice wlb. Also investing a lot in data

I am thinking in long term, financial services will pay better and bot worth changing the domain.

Ultragenyx brave! Jun 10, 2020

I have seen people do that both ways

Pharma tend to stable (relatively) compare to other industries but you have to take a look at their drug pipeline and revenue from current approved drugs

Abbvie seems stable but they are matching my current compensation at higher designation , Director.

I see

AbbVie is by far the best company I’ve worked for in my career. Long term growth and stability is also promising with the Allergan acquisition and strong pipeline.

Some people like working for pharma because the overall industry works to serve patients and they like knowing that they’re contributing to saving people’s lives
