Well... I guess they're not wrong, but then cyber warfare is an extension of political will and risk. The U.S shares sensitive information with allies, It's only natural that they--out of an abundance of caution--would want to limit the risk and potential damage that an adversary might inflict when the government is known to force that kind of cooperation on their "private" industry.
Right! Our government and corporations are regularly cyberattacked from locations in China. They are clearly using technological warfare, including from their own intelligence agency. There is absolutely no reason to believe our network infrastructure wouldn’t be a route they would explore
