Ok this is very unexpected. Need some advice. I have final interview in the coming weeks for New Grad - User Interface Engineer at Netflix and I am confident in my ability to do well. We have already seen some L1 new grad offers posted on Levels.fyi with TC between 250k-400k. Never thought I would have this chance. However, IF I get the offer, I will not except it unless I am able to work remotely from Boston (cannot leave at this point in time due to family obligations). I have a return offer from my company (not Tesla) here in Boston for 180k TC. If I get the offer, and if they don't allow remote, then I will have to reject it and everyone is telling me I'm a crazy mfer. SO, @Netflix folk, would you know whether or not new grads will be allowed to work remotely? TC: 100k YOE: 1.5 (internship) #netflix #newgrad #softwareengineer #wtf
Doubt they will. Netflix is a great place to learn and start your career but tbh I wouldn’t move to the Bay Area for 300k either.
I would love if they allow remote but I don't think they will either. Unsure if I want to follow up with final interview if I know they don't offer remote work because I don't want the stress of having to decline a 300k offer LOL
Why wouldn't you move for 300k TC for new grad?
Get the offer then worry about shit, you haven’t even passed the on-site, might as well worry about how to spend ur 401k savings now lol
I was asking because I will likely not complete the on-site if WFH is not an option. I understand what you are saying tho
Best of luck OP! Let’s us know how it goes! I respect you for putting family first. From another new grad.
You are truly a crazy mfer
