I was former FANG, made a big mistake and left to join two bad start ups in a row in short stints. Just looking at the future, if I hide some jobs from my resume, would it come up on a background check? I'm not lying about anything, just not mentioning it. My plan is to explain the employment gap as me taking a break to tend to my kids during the pandemic or something like that.
Most companies use Equifax work number or another third party background check service, so most likely yes it will show up if you were an official employee and were paid.
Why would you hide it? The startups failing was not your fault.
Mainly because i don't want to appear as a job hopper
Only what you list on your resume will be verified.
