If I submit I140, can my parents still apply b1/b2 visa for visiting me?

They’re retired. Have pensions, and have equivalent 2-3 million dollars of cash and assets back in India. They do not have intent to immigrate to US at all. However, they do not have jobs back there now, and their only son (they have two married daughters) applied for GC in US. What is the chance they get the visa? Thanks!

Yes they can. No harm applying. Just interview truthfully. The fact that they are staying with you, a legal alien with W2 and address in the US is a great assurance that they will not over stay. Of course it's also at the discretion of the consulate officer. I think it's a myth that showing off your big bank account help. I don't see how it reduce the risk of you overstaying.

For my parents they did not ask any (extra) documents during visa interview. Also at port of entry no questions were asked. P.S. I have i140 for 8 years now πŸ˜…
