If fired during a reorganization, how soon would the company ask you to leave

As titled. In addition, 1, will company pay you one/two/three months compensation for covering the job gap? 2, how about H1B? Will company notify the USCIS immediately?

Every company is different. There is no legal requirement to pay severance, so do not expect one. I know people that have had to fly back to their home countries immediately after re-orgs. If you think (or know) that layoffs are coming, start interviewing now

Happened to me at google fiber. First it was 6 months then it was indefinite as long as you’re trying to find another team internally

It varies company by company, and even from reorg to reorg. Earlier reorganizations get better severance packages. I’ve seen voluntary packages offered (non-tech), severance based on time with the company, companies that keep you on for 3 months, and no severance at all. It depends on the number of people being let go, how high profile the company is, the types of people being affected (how much they want to keep your skills). There is no legal requirement to offering anything in the US, so don’t count on anything. If you think your company is going to reorg soon, startbsearching asap. Don’t trust them if they tell you that your job is safe. Don’t know how it works with visas.

You get one month paid early warning, (internal job search time) and max one / two month severance and a one way flight to your home country
