A very good friend of mine is doing his PhD on land reforms in India from IIM, he did a in depth study on this issue and wrote a paper in a journal. Within days he and his PhD guide were threatened by BJP activists for criticism of Mr Modi and asked to shutdown. A number of prominent activists who supported this issue were then arrested. I actually come from a place in India where infamous mining baron extracted all the iron ore of the land to sell to China for cheap. He stole his own country’s resources to get rich, wonder if he ever thought about how his grandkids might need these resources for the local community’s sustainability. Corrupt people have been stealing resources of the land to redistribute to the world just to get rich and we all seem to glorify rich people, this is why we need to eradicate generations of wealth and form new locally sustainable forms of communities where we focus on simple living.
