Importance of reference checks in FAANG
I've only worked at one company in the US. If I interview with FAANG companies, presumably they'll ask for reference checks at some stage - I'm reluctant to offer up anybody in my current company as a reference until I actually resign. What's the attitude towards a candidate without any references? Or references from overseas? Or at what stage of the interviewing process are these requested?

No reference checks at FB. Just a standard background check to make sure you didn’t lie in the application (verifies past employers, schools, etc)
