The closest thing I see in the world is an app called Ohlala, but that looks like it is only available in England and Germany. There are news articles talking about a USA (New York) launch but it seems that never happened. I remember reading a while ago the hottest app on the Chinese app store was a sugar baby app. Why aren't there more businesses in this space that seems ripe for startup disruption? How can I work for someone in this space? Ever since Backpage shutdown (it was hosted in Arizona) there are many sites that have struggled to take over their market share. I keep informed about their general activity but a lot of them seem very out-dated and old-fashioned (static php pages, no kinds of ranking algorithms or anything modern behind the scenes). I see tryst uses react and probably has some modern backend stuff going on. But that was just made by like 1 person. Note I do not condone human trafficking of any kind, I just see a market opportunity here in the same fashion that the Kennedy family made their family fortune (selling alcohol during prohibition). I have spent some time sitting outside certain massage parlors and notice a constant stream of (male) patrons in and out, and I know each of those is probably spending upwards of $160. So the profit margins seem huge. It seems like heterosxual males chasing after females is like heroin addicts chasing after heroin. Tinder makes billions of dollars and is the most successful app even though most males find 0 success. The average male spends like 11+ hours a week on Tinder. That is insane. To the topic of "boober": One way that Uber and Lyft made a lot of money was basically cutting down on the margins taxi companies (not drivers) were making. I see in the future the compensated dating models of other countries coming to the USA and in similar fashion cutting down on the margins that the operators make (some are mafia owned, most independent as far as I know). Another side note: Is this the same phenomenon how some engineers from pr0nhub and youtube might work on similar technical problems, yet youtube engineers are paid a lot more, because of the google parentage and being in the USA rather than Canada? Location Location Location. Lots to discuss here. #dating #uber #money #relationships #sugar
tech is disgusting sometimes, but please tell me more how it's just a business opportunity
Lol. So you are saying relationships aren't based on money? Tinder gives us all the data we need - money is attractive. Disgusting but true. All we can do is try to profit

Are we in Stagflation?
I’d never heard of “compensated dating” but sounds an awful lot like legal prostitution.
And it’s illegal in ca , though we have tinder and many woman and men who just want one night stands ! Crazy world
It is though. But think about it - tinder is wildly successful in the USA because prostitution is for the most part banned and only happens behind closed doors. If prostitution was legalized a lot of tinders business would dry up.
