Why pm is high ?
You can reallocate developers to other active projects. Can't do the same with PMs.
Hmm.. also PM may get more salary then devs ?
Contractors. Although I'm not sure if they get counted in layoffs
This is perfect answer... contractors fired first because they are least liability
Untrue. In a place with contractors generally they are above average in talent so the PIP percent is boosted from 5% to 10% and deadweight FTEs are let go...
Lowest performers in the opinion of management go first Seriously been in management and IC during layoffs. Seen both sides This is how it works.
How management decides who performed low ? Based on which parameters or they have their ass kissers who tell them ?
Can’t believe that’s a question from BOA. Don’t you guys do nbox calibrations during performance review?
The people who get fired first are the people who ask “Who gets fired first?”...
I wish this was true
Architect Yes, some companies have a separate role for that...
Or scrum master. Yes, it is an official title at some places
Trying to get re-orged? 😂
Recruiting, then marketing, then sales, then administrative, then hangers on/over compensated tech, then some assholes in finance, then back to tech.....I’ve been through this a few times
Qe
QE already gone in many companies.
The employee with enough time to share their worries around layoffs on social media, but not enough time to bust ass and work like someone that does not want to be laid off.
Old people.
That might lead to lawsuits tho?
Recruiters
