Recently joined Samsung and wow they really have great food benefits. Really nice cafe with all kind of food choices, my fav are live sushi counter and live juice/smoothies counter. Not just that they have free lunch and free dinner they give a plus one for to-go lunch and dinner for $2.5 !! On top of this weekly $65 grubhub credit. I think during the age when inflation is so high and a meal to order from outside or going to restaurant costs so much this is a benefit which really puts a smile on your face and saves soo much extra money. Nice try HR, we’re staying remote
Lol 😆, its hybrid here but office is so close to work that I can literally go and grab to-go food and come back haha
Samsung has the worst management of any company, no amount of food is worth it.
Is it? Any specific examples? I just joined in a brand new team so looking at all positive aspects
Have you dealt with senior management in Korea yet? If not, you are one of the lucky ones. The joke around the SF office was that their method of management was screaming at trees to make them grow faster.
Sounds so much better than Cisco
Referral?
Sure, we need people in our team. HW folks
What roles in HW?
Where is this? Seattle? Portland?
San Jose
We have lunch and dinner with many ethnic cuisines to choose from, nitro cold brew on tap, kombucha on tap, juice bar, a real bar, Asian and American snacks & drinks out the wazoo, and Friday tea time with cakes, boba, from nearby Asian bakeries and cafes. All is free.
No breakfast. We don't get boxes to take food to our desk/meetings. Coffee machines need maintenance most of the time. Many reimbursements just got cancelled recently.
We get boxed dinners to take home. And I see ppl bring a container if they want to take their lunch to their desks. These reimbursements were for wfh covid times, it kinda makes sense as we transition more to a hybrid schedule, but still kinda sucks. At least there are still the main ones, like phone bills, etc.
Why is Samsung feeding Intel employees?
This is mothership Samsung and not SAS/Austin, right?
Sounds awesome! By the way, how long did it take to go through the all hiring process? I’ve been interviewing with them, and it has been almost a month.
Which team? And what role?
NJ. Marketing :)
Hello HR?
Do HR’s still exist after all the layoffs across the industry?
