Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Hey Folks at Indeed, is a hiring freeze coming at Indeed. I have already signed the offer letter. I was wondering how safe I am. My start date is in October. Given the layoffs and hiring freeze rumors I was wondering if things can go south from this point. YOE - 3 TC - 165K/NEW TC - 326K
Are you a PM or SWE?
SWE
Indeed!!
Holy shot your TC is ballin at Indeed for your YOE. It’s amazing cause I heard it’s a straight coaster company there too
Haha, got lucky
Indeed honored my offer when they had hiring freeze in 2019.
Good to know
Indeed had hiring freeze in 2019 but no layoff?
What level at indeed?
L 2.5
Nice. How was the interview difficulty level? Especially the system design round?
No freeze in hindsight.
Do you think above tc is L2.5?
Yes it is l 2.5
No freeze has been communicated
Hot stuff! Why don't y'all just come join Enova? We are hiring like crazy!
What do you do? How much do you pay for mid level? How's wlb?
Hiring PM?
Is indeed a modern tech company? Not poking fun, genuine question. I worked for Walmart (no longer do) and don’t want to go to a non tech company again. What’s indeed like to work for?
Indeed is at the absolute forefront of the recruiting industry. All linkedin does is copy what indeed built 5 years back. I work on products to help people get hired thru linkedin. They’re also a Surprisingly good employer with perks etc Indeed is focussed on serving job seekers at scale, which means focusing on more junior/blue collar roles (the vast majority in the world) vs high earning swe roles. It’s partly why they fly under the radar in the blind community
Are you guys fucking kidding me? We've only been a job search and job posting product for decades. We just started moving to cloud services in 2021, before that we used to stop developers from pushing certain code because they'd have to send someone to the data center to add hardware first. Downtime for hours every few weeks was normal. None of the architecture here is modern and with the number of views and revenue we get, we have really shit tier internal tools and a ton of tech debt on our poor quality code.
What role is it for?
