So, I ran into a pretty weird situation with Indeed recently. I was contacted about a senior SWE role with indeed, passed phone screen. Was about to schedule onsite, when my recruiter comes back and says they can't proceed because I interviewed with them less than 6 months ago. This is where things get weird - I haven't interviewed with Indeed recently, the last time I did was about 2 years ago. What do people think happened, did the recruiter want to reject for a different reason but gave me a lame excuse, is there a case of mistaken identity, or some other weirdness? #Indeed #interview
tell the recruiter that u interviewed with them 2 years ago, not 6 months.
I don’t believe so. There is a policy/process that does not allow interview within a timeframe. So this could be issue on recruiter but had it been 6-months that would still hold true.
That's fair, I just don't like to have my time wasted. I didn't even proactively apply - was contacted by Indeed first.
Yeah that is a bit frustrating. It never hurts to reach back out and ask for dates to actually verify. 🤷🏽♂️
