I have an offer from Indeed. Currently working at GE for past 3 years with stagnant pay. Bonus is also hit or miss at GE. The base at Indeed is same as GE, but I am getting RSUs at indeed and recruiter told me that refreshers are given every year. Let me know your thoughts on switching from GE to Indeed in terms of future growth and comp. Current TC 150k at GE Indeed TC 190k
What's the location and what level is this offer for? Also is that 60k over 4 years or 60k per year?
Location is Seattle. 60k over 4 years but as they said, They will give same refreshers every year. So it's kinda that un vested stocks keep building every year.
Is this a SWE 1 offer or 2? If 2 that's pretty low
Is there no work to do at GE? That sounds like a dream to me
It's difficult to get anything done at GE - there's more bureaucracy and politics than Congress. Rest and vest except there's nothing to vest.
So is there a bunch of worthless document work or is there actually straight up nothing to do. You go to office and then work on side projects/leetcode or watch youtube?
Keep searching. Indeed used to be a good company to work for. Not anymore. Favouritism and politics is all time high and mostly coasters are remaining. Leadership team has no intent to improve things. Pay bands have been lowered recently and don't break on the refreshers unless they are guaranteed and written on your offer letter (I know it's not, that's the point)
Are you from Indeed india?
Man I am hearing different views on it, many people I talked at Indeed saying refreshers are every year. One of my college mate vouched for indeed and its growth.
Concluding this post, indeed wins hands down
Indeed offer breakdown? Yoe? Anything is better than GE at this point, but you can do better than Indeed.
151k base, 20sign on, 60k stocks vested in 4 years, but they give refreshers every year(that's what recruiter told me)
I would look elsewhere with that TC
