She’s American
Sure but she’s an immigrant, moved here after her undergraduate in India. Same as Satya Nadella, Pichai and many others
Aren't all Americans immigrants at some point except for Natives? 🙃

Brace for cultural nepotism posts
Oh please like all Indians she politicked her way up the corporate ladder the base code has been there for decades. Not a hater it’s just the truth. Indians are low in hard work and knowledge but great at kissing ass. It is what it is and there’s nothing wrong with it.
Low in hard work? They have tons of stem people
Yes but instead of doing STEM they spend all their time politicking and screwing people that need to support their families.
I never met vidya but met her parents and her lil kids in park regularly. Her parents moved here and were really nice folks. I think husband is also in tech. Not sure how these indian families make such strides. Moving up while having 4 kids is a great feat. But hey may be being at the right place at the right time is all you need to do.
I was a new grad and she was the director, she was pretty nice to me and acknowledged my presence. It was cool, good vibes from the tiny amount of interaction I had.

OP, are you Chinese? Are you butt hurt by seeing Indians move forward ? In Chinese or Japanese or Korean companies, you wont find any Indians in leadership position nor in American defense cos.
No. Why are you triggered? I am just appreciating the career progression and wanting to learn something
Actually coupang has a lot of Indian leadership
have you all heard about the caste discrimination in the US especially within tech companies? i always wonder how much caste plays a factor in hiring among indians. srinivasan is a brahmin caste (the highest). thankur is apparently the second-highest caste.
Idk about caste but I hear a lot from Indians about the state they are from and language they speak driving a ton of discrimination.
It’s just a numbers game, in terms of population
