Hi any recommendation/ views on indian fintech startups like angel one/brokking, it's like zerodha Have an offer from them but haven't heard too much about the company. Have a offer from Walmart as well. Not sure which to join. Current tc: 20 Yoe:7 Walmart tc:55 (37 fix, 9 bonus,9 stocks) Pro: brand ,perks cons: bad reviews, low learning curve Angel one: 60(40 fix,4 bonus, rest stocks) Pro: good work, cons: no brand, no reviews. Please note don't have a good brandname in my resume. #fintech #indiasalary #startupIndia
Means? Their stock is prices at 1300 angel brokking one
Don't know them. Are they public? Or this price from last round?
They are public. Have 12M as daily active in user.
If you don't want to work and chill for sometime, join walmart for a couple of years otherwise join angel broking. Also, the 9lac RSU in Walmart is over 4yrs and not per yr.
Yes that's a factor too, for walmart I need to stay for sometime to get benifit of stocks.
It's 9 lakh per year , where each year stock is vested over 4 yrs

Any reviews for angel broking?
Make it a poll. I would suggest going with Angel. Their stock seems to be doing better and I see lot of traction on LinkedIn posts from their CTO. They are pitching themselves as the best fintech. You'll have more learning there instead of big org. But if its the brand name you are after then consider joining Walmart
Yes in angel most if the folks are from Amazon/uber/walmart. So the work is definitely goin to be interesting. I am but confused about which direction should I steer my career into: 1. Get into a good brand name to increase my credibility n later switch to a good position in a medium scale start up. 2. Get into start up , grind and learn, get a good growth, trade off would be wlb. once you have a brand name in your resume, it helps I guess? I also have to consider wlb as I have plans to get married.
The two points you listed is upto you to decide. If I were at your position, I would have picked second option given current hot market. Big companies always have openings, you can switch later
@Op, have similar situation. Pls dm if you want to discuss
I am leaving walmart and joining Angel One. I think I may be the right person to guide you :)
Hey are you active here?
Op How's the work at Angel One ?
How are you valuing their stock?
