Hi fellow blinders. Background: I have been tech leading multiple teams for almost 6 years now, also directly managed some of these teams in the past. I haven't interviewed in a long time. Haven't been with Akamai all this time, but won't go into the details as it can easily doxx me. The gist being, I might be out of touch with current hiring trends. Observation: Past couple of months, I have been getting contacted on LinkedIn and email by recruiters who throw in typical buzzwords like "exciting career growth", or "take your career to the next level with AI". But it turns out to be for what looks like RCG or 2-3 YOE role with a huge pay cut. Has anyone else been experiencing the same thing? At this point I'm not sure if it's because inexperienced recruiters, my LinkedIn profile missing certain keywords or something else altogether. I'm asking because I worry I might be missing out on recruiter contacts for actually suitable roles. Blind tax: 13 YOE, 🥜🥜 TC

Why no one cares about the lives lost in Gaza, Israel and busy in their own lives?
Normal. They just blindly send blasts based on keywords. It's cheaper to just send 10,000 blasts and the review the 100 or so people who respond than to review 10,000 profiles. Maybe you want to switch to tech and willing to take a oaycut? Maybe you have 13 years of experience, but only 1 in tech, so it may not be a huge paycut. I get random recruiters all the promising top compensation that is one-third of my TC.
That explains it. Thanks @Broblox. So I think if one wants to switch, they need to look for opportunities themselves. Market doesn't seem to have recovered enough where people from all experience levels would be getting regular contacts...
