Hi All, could you please help me make decision. I have received offers from Infosys and Cognizant and need to select one, could you comment on which one would be better selection based on general factors such as culture, growth, compensation, immigration, visa sponsorship etc. Current TC: $90k, Cognizant offer: 100K TC Infosys offer: 105K TC Location: Texas Your thoughts would really help!! #newjob #h1b #immigration #companyculture #growth #bettercompany #companyreviews #companyrankings #tech #developer
I heard cognizant is good for immigration filings
Definitely used to be. Not sure if still better.
Not anymore
Not difficult to choose the best among the worst
Cognizant, better among the 2. I worked there for 5 years. Better for immigration, although I heard they stopped sponsoring GC in mass numbers a while ago. Projects are generally pretty good , and I never had to work more than 8 hours a day as a Senior Associate
How is your experience with pwc? Do you have to put more hours? Happy with your tc?
PwC is much better in terms of exposure and the types of projects you get to work on. You get to interact with pretty high level people like SVPs and in some cases C Level. Definitely have to put in more hours and more competitive. But that's what prepares you for the next level and you also get excellent exit options especially if you're Manager or above
Higher tc. Both are same
Both are almost sme. I would focus more on type of project/client/role.
Years of experience? TC offered is less for current market. Even for cognizant and Infy
Speaking from experience: if you are ok with decent/middling comp, can let BS roll off your back like a duck, and are comfortable putting your foot down at more than 40 hrs, these are extremely easy places to work.
What level or title are you getting for Infosys? Infosys has many good project to hop around including Google, Meta, Apple, etc. Also compare their promotion rate and yearly bonus.
None
Both of them are bad
Thanks for comment, I need to choose one among them at this moment.
Go with a higher TC.
