Hello, Purpose of this post is to reach out to the community and get some insights about infrastructure engineering at Google. I’m looking for advice on how to better shape myself. What technologies and tech stack to focus on to transition into a infra engineering position at Google. I am currently a DevOps engineer, but every company uses different tools, and I have no idea how things are done at Google. 1) What tools do you use the most on the daily? 2) What do the interview loops consist of? 3) How important is coding? Are there coding interviews? Any advice / guidance would be greatly appreciated! #tech

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
The position you are interviewing for is still SWE, correct? The area would be infrastructure.
I came across some postions at google that are posted as ‘infrastructure engineering’, not SWE / Infra
Ok, so you haven’t formally started your interview process yet. Otherwise I was gonna suggest get it clarified from the recruiter. Usually they will give you more than enough information on what to expect in the interview and ultimately from the position. I would recommend you to go ahead and apply, if it catches their eye, they will set a recruiter call and that would be your best bet to get all the info.
