Is there any chance of Instacart lay-off? Saw brutal rounds of layoffs at Uber and wondering the same. Thanks
Uber needs to increase headcount for all the people they laid off last year. They will hire and fire in waves based on the current situation.
We’re hiring like crazy right now
Uber also did this pre ipo. The IPO was the turning point for layoffs which is why I am asking. But I assume leadership cares about employee unlike Uber?
Doordash hired like crazy too before their IPO but didn't fire people afterwards.
Not a chance. We’re hiring like crazy because we’ve been understaffed for years and the team is burning out. We’re smaller than similar companies in our field and have always purposely run lean but it’s catching up, thus the hiring. I’m talking corporate employees here, FYI.
Agree! Lot of new initiatives and they need people for the same.
What’s the cool off period for a failed on site?
Isn't Uber hiring like a madman right now?
Earlier last year they laid off a total of some 9k employees in 3 waves
I know that, I'm curious as to why Instacart will lay people off when even Uber (a company known for firing folks and in the Gig economy) is hiring folks
